She is serving a life sentence in a California prison. ==Biography== Rossum grew up in Claremont, California, the oldest child of Ralph and Constance Rossum. The Rossum family moved to Virginia and Kristin enrolled as a a boarding student at the all-girls St. Catherine's School in Richmond, Virginia. While at St. Catherine's, Rossum began using marijuana, drinking beer and smoking. She met Greg deVillers, and, within a year, Rossum appeared to be over her methamphetamine addiction. She enrolled at San Diego State University and graduated with honors in 1998. After graduating, she worked as a toxicologist at the San Diego County medical examiner's office. She and deVillers married in 1999.
